Mandatory Volunteering

Students should be required to volunteer in their community.

No. Students should not be required to volunteer in there community as part of their school experience. However, I do think they should, as many colleges look for people that have helped their community. Also it is just being a good citizen. However, at the end of the day it is a choice if you want to volunteer or not.

Students should not be required to volunteer in there community it should be a choice even though its good to volunteer and do community service. I think this because it wouldn't be fare to make people volunteer at places they don't want to volunteer at.

I believe all students should be required to volunteer in there community because its important to take care of your community and take responsibility. Plus if volunteering was required in all school community's all students would grow up taking more responsibility. And all community's would be more cared for.

Students should be encouraged and given opportunities to volunteer, but if you require them to do it and may feel unnatural. I think it's important to set the stage for kids to want to be part of their community in a positive way. Volunteering is one way to do this but there are many other ways to get involved that may be more comfortable for kids.
